How credit billing works
Credits are the balance you use for AI features in Remarque. Your subscription includes a monthly credit allowance, and you can add more with one-off credit packs when you need extra usage.

What credits are
Credits are the product-level unit shown in your balance, invoices, and top-ups. Every AI action draws from that balance based on the model you use and the amount of input and output generated.
What your subscription covers
The monthly subscription covers product access and includes 500 credits each billing cycle. Those included credits reset each cycle.
How deduction works

We hold a credit reservation before the model call starts.

The provider reports actual input and output token usage after the call.

We convert that token usage into credits using the selected model's rates.

Only the actual credit cost is kept. Any unused reservation is returned.
Monthly credits vs purchased credits
Included monthly credits are consumed first. If you buy extra credit packs, those purchased credits are used after your monthly allowance is exhausted. Your account page shows both balances separately.
When to buy a credit pack
Buy a pack when you expect heavier AI usage or want a larger prepaid balance. Credit packs are one-off purchases that add credits on top of your subscription's monthly included amount.
